Now that we are finally experiencing winter, I would like to remind everyone to dress appropriately for the cold weather. The 72 hour forecast is calling for some very cold wind chill temperatures -- near -20. Please send your children to school with enough warm clothing to manage the cold. A hat is much better than a hood, mittens are better than gloves, and please make sure everything is dry. Wet clothing makes the cold much, much worse. The staff try to ensure that all the children are properly dressed before they go outside, but the children need the proper attire to stay warm. We will assess the weather before any recess period and we will keep the students indoors if the temperature is below -20.
